Global Finance Technology Strategy

Led finance architecture strategy for Visa's global reorganization, consolidation, and IPO. Conducted on-site visits to assess finance and HR solutions across their five international companies. Developed comprehensive architecture schema, identified integration points, and proposed a best-in-class future state leveraging current solutions and new capabilities to fill technology gaps.

Cloud Finance & AI Integration

Consulted senior finance executives on cloud migration. Collaborated with business and tech users to grasp unique/new requirements. Led POC integrating AI for predictive forecasting to align marketing campaigns with new customer acquisition and optimize onboarding costs.

Cloud Finance & AI Integration

As Interim Production and Corporate Controller at a Universal Studios TV production subsidiary, oversaw accounting and financial matters for two active TV projects. Managed production payroll, temporary staff, cash flow, planning, budgeting, and reporting. Also handled corporate-level financials, reporting, systems, and staff.

Finance Technology

Led a business value assessment project for an EPM software investment in the hotel industry. Conducted interactive discussions and interviews with senior managers from various units to document and benchmark current technology and processes. Made improvement recommendations using modern finance technology, closed the EPM software deal,and provided advisory support during implementation.

Corporate Finance & Operations Leadership

Led a thorough business process assessment covering financial reporting, FP&A, HCM, investment acquisition, and asset management. Managed software selection and implementation, including POC projects to validate integration. Oversaw software implementation, vendor contracting, and post go-live system administration.

Cloud Finance & AI Integration

Led data workstream for global Basel II project, analyzing metadata structures in ALM systems. Collaborated with data scientists to align data elements with credit risk algorithms. Developed master data model for in-scope ALM source systems. Phase 2 focused on operationalizing data collection and management for ongoing needs.

Finance & Data Strategy

Led a team of 15 auditors and data consultants to design and manage an ad hoc data mart for the 5-year restatement project. Sourced and loaded instrument and raw loans data, built logic to unwind secured instruments to collateral level, and reprocessed transactions per new accounting policies. Quantified adjusting entries for each year and created financial/control reports for adjusted financial statements reissuance. Also provided ad hoc analysis and data query support for PwC auditors.

Finance & Technology Strategy Advisor – FP&A and Corporate Reporting

Co-developed a technology strategy for EPM and financial data management solutions, aligning IBM's capabilities with functional requirements. Led POC model development and demonstrations for senior decision-makers. Presented IBM's Global CFO Survey results at AECOM's Global CFO strategy conference, guiding their finance transformation journey and deployment of IBM solutions as directed by the Corporate CFO.

Strategic Data Modeling & Analytics

Supported two major litigation defense projects for separate Lloyds of London Underwriters during asbestos and pollution insurance crises. Created a data model to analyze investor attributes and investment activities ("Names"). Enhanced investor master data for segmentation strategy, providing key insights for PwC legal consultants to dissolve class action lawsuits successfully.

Capital Asset Management Process & Technology

Implemented a fixed assets and capital management system, streamlining expense categorization and depreciation/amortization calculation. Began with defining a corporate capitalization policy and depreciation methods throughexecutive discussions. Evaluated and improved the capitalexpense requisition and procurement process, includingback-office operations. Imported five years of capital expense data into the new system, applying depreciation methods retroactively and reporting differences to the corporate controller. Redesigned the process for future capital expense capture and provided training for accounts payable staff on the new system.
